Secretary General of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah has decried twin terror attacks targeting tourists in Cairo on Saturday evening. Al-Atiyyah said "such criminal acts run counter to the teachings of Islam." "The GCC states do condemn all terror acts which contradict the teachings of Islam," he said, expressing absolute support to all measures that might be taken by Egypt to confront terrorism. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
