The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has extended SR 3.75 million to victims of the earthquake and Tsumani that hit some Asian countries about two weeks ago. This sum of money constitutes the first stage of IIRO's assistance to the victims. IIRO's Secretary General Dr Adnan bin Khaleel Basha said the assistance includes food materials, medical supplies and tents. He noted that the assistance will be distributed to the victims in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Thailand in coordination with the Saudi embassies in these countries.
