The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), an affiliate of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), has sent an additional tranche of assistance in-kind to victims Tsunami in Sri Lanka.
The relief assistance included large quantities of dates, foodstuffs , blanket and clothes.
Earlier, the IIRO had extended SR 3.75 million worth of Relief assistance to Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka.
IIRO'S Secretary General Dr Adnan Basha said the Saudi embassy in Sri Lanka will undertake supervision of distribution of this additional relief assistance to victims of the tsunami.
He noted that arrangements were underway to send more relief assistance to victims of the tsunami.
