Saudi Stock Exchange's main index ended trading higher here today, gaining 52.50 points to close, at 8256.07 points. Total value of the trading reported was over SR18.5 billion, while the toll of shares traded was more than 780 million, divided into as many as 655,000 deals. While the stocks of 92 companies ended the trading with higher values, 101 companies' shares slumped. In terms of the percentage spread between the highest and the lowest stocks, it ranged from 9.95% to 6.96%. For its part, the Saudi Parallel Equity Market Index (NOMU) finished higher, too, gaining 127.19 points to end trading, at 11848.62 points, with a valuation of SR57 million and an overall tally of 1 million stocks traded, divided into 1526 deals.
