Dispatch Patrols of the Ministry of Interior managed through the first half of 1441 H, within its supporting security assignments, in a number of mountainous border governorates of Jazan, Assir and Najran, to thwart various attempts to smuggle into the Kingdom, drugs, hashish, arms and live ammunition. According to the ministry, 74 tons of Qat, 77 kg of Hashish, 9357 prohibited pills, 293 several arms and 3362 live ammunition were seized, following foiling operations. In addition, 2307 persons were arrested, SR 2,939,955 and 2268 vehicles were confiscated, as well as arresting 11967 persons, offending the laws of residency, labor and border security.
