Patrols of the Border Guards foiled smuggling attempts last month in Jazan Region, under the follow up of commander Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Subhi. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Brigadier General Abdullah bin Mahfouz, spokesman of the Border Guards in Jazan, said that the patrols are seizing 51 different arms pieces, 18 ammunitions, 16,5 narcotic pills, 233,188kg of Qat, and 2,395kg of hashish, in addition to arresting 39,399 infiltrators and 384 traffickers. The operations also included seizure of a cash money amounting SR 294,106.
