An international medical conference on "sickle cell anemia" will start its deliberations here next Saturday. A number of physicians and consultants from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the US and Britain will participate in the two-day conference. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr Ibrahim Bin Suleiman Al-Hafazi, the Director of Medical Education and Head of the Pediatric Department at the Program of the Armed Forces Hospitals for the Kingdom's southern region, said the organization of the conference in Abha has provided a clear evidence for the keenness of Saudi officials on containment of the sickle cell anemia. He hoped that the conference would yield positive results.
