Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has completed procedures for importing (1,200,000) tons of barley from the origins of the European Union, Australia, the Black Sea, North and South America (except Canada); which represent the second tender of imported feed barley for this year (2020 AD). Governor of SAGO Engineer Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Fares said in a statement today that shipments were distributed to (14) with the amount of (840,000) tons for the Kingdom's ports on the Red Sea, and (6) shipments with the amount of (360,000) tons for the Kingdom's ports on the Arabian Gulf; which will be imported during the period of (May – June 2020 AD) Engineer Al-Fares stated that the completion of the second tender of imported barley for this year comes within the framework of meeting the local demand and maintaining the strategic reserve, noting that the organization has already purchased (900,000) tons of imported barley as the first barley tender in 2020, which makes the organization's total purchases for this year reach (2.1) million tons.
