King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's project for clearing mines (Masam) in Yemen demined 1,187 mines during the second week of January 2020, including 17 antipersonnel mines, 367 anti-tanks, 786 unexploded ordnance and 17 explosive devices. Since the beginning of the project, 123,000 landmines have been dismantled after they had been planted by Houthi militias, in Yemen, claiming lives, serious injuries or amputation of children, women and the elderly.
