Secretary General of the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) Dr Adnan bin Khalil Basha has highlighted the assistance extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the displaced people in the Sudanese Western Province of Darfur. Addressing the Relief Committee of the Council of the Islamic Call and Relief here on Saturday, Dr Basha said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been positively contributing to relieving sufferings among the displaced people in Darfur. On the other hand, Dr Basha appraised the significant role played by the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the African Union for resolving the problem of Darfur. It is worth mentioning that the Relief Committee reviewed at its meeting the developments of the situation in Darfur and the efforts exerted by the various relief organizations to assist victims of troubles in the Province.
