The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), has extended an urgent relief assistance to victims of drought in Niger. IIRO's Secretary General Dr Adnan Khalil Basha said more than 200 children in Niger are facing the menace of death due to malnutrition. 'Within the last few months more than 700 children died as the result of malnutrition in this West African country', he said. Dr Basha pointed out that more than 10,000 families had benefited from the relief assistance extended by the IIRO. He urged philanthropists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to extend donations to their brothers in Niger.
