The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) , an affiliate of Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), has extended an urgent relief assistance to victims of famine in Niger. Dr Adman bin Khalil Basha, the IIRO Secretary General, said 10 thousands families in Niger had benefited from the relief assistance which included food baskets. Dr Basha noted that IIRO will continue to offering relief assistance to victims of famine in Niger. It is worth mentioning that more than 2.5 million persons, including 800,000 children are facing the menace of famine in this west African country. The IIRO has urged philanthropists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to positively contribute to the salvation of victims famine in Niger through extending generous donations. -
