The Tokyo stock market opened higher Thursday, supported by an overnight rally on Wall Street, traders said. At 11 a.m. local time, the 225-issue Nikkei average was up 86.26 points, or 0.80 per cent, at 10,860.52. The Topix index of all first section issues added 7.66 points, or 0.70 per cent, to stand at 1,102.54. Meanwhile, the U.S. currency was quoted at 109.48-51 yen, down from 109.91-94 yen at the close of trading Wednesday. The euro was quoted at 1.2337-40 dollars, up compared with 1.2322-24 Wednesday. The euro was also quoted at 135.06-10 yen, down from 135.45-49 yen Wednesday.
