Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that Saudi Arabia is known for its firm positions towards the Arab issues in particular as the Kingdom is the one who leads the Arab decision through its balanced decisions and policies. The paper added that the Kingdom's position on the Palestinian cause is unchanged in the restoration of Palestinian rights and the establishment of a state with Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital based on the 1967 borders, as stipulated in the Arab Peace Initiative 2002, which was originally a Saudi initiative adopted by the Arabs at the Beirut Summit. Okaz newspaper in its editorial wrote that UN should hold the Iranian-backed Houthi militia the responsibility of delaying implementing the Stockholm Agreement. Okaz noted legitimate government behavior as it deals responsibly with the Agreement, adding that the lack of condemnation of the United Nations and its envoys in Yemen for what is happening there, cannot be tolerated, in light of the Houthi's intransigence.
