Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz newspaper commented in its editorial on former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's testimony on Wednesday in Cairo courtroom, saying that the Muslim Brotherhood group has attempted to destabilize the region with the support of other players such as Palestinian Hamas, Lebanese Hezbollah and Tehran. Al-Yaum newspaper commented in its editorial on the statements of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in an exclusive interview with French magazine ''Le Point'' published last Monday, when he denied the accusation that his country seeks to wipe out Israel, saying that Iran always claims to wipe out Israel from the map when it addresses the Arab media, but it has been completely different when addressing the Western media. On another local topic, Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the General Auditing Bureau has achieved a qualitative leap this year by collecting a total amount of SR 9 billion, an increase of four times more than the previous fiscal year. The newspaper noted that this number reflects the Kingdom's determination to continue its war on corruption in all its forms.
