The strategic ministerial conference for the Universal Postal Union 2018, the world's greatest event at the international post level, started in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabian delegation to the conference was led by the acting President of the Saudi Posts authority Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdul-Jabbar. During the two-day event, the future strategy for the universal postal union, ways to upgrade the post administrations level around the world to play more role in the economic and social development in addition to how to transfer traditional posts to newly digital post foundations that support innovation and development. The UPU, which is half-way to implement Istanbul Strategy 2017-2020, aims at reaching the best way to enhance the post sector to provide competitive and effective services for people and commercial establishments.
