Morocco's post “Poste Maroc" has signed with the posts of seven Arab countries, in Geneva, a multilateral convention on the e- money transfer, said Poste Maroc. This convention was signed by Morocco, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen, according to a report published today by Morocco Business News. This agreement will allow residents of 8 signatory countries to send or receive funds to or from abroad through a system of speed money transfer via the postal network of these countries, said Poste Maroc. The new service, based on the application IFS (International financial system) developed by the Postal Technology Centre of the UPU (Union Postale Universelle), now enables the Arab region to join the international financial network of the UPU. The culmination of this agreement, which is part of regional development programme between the UPU and the Arab region, reflects the principles of technological neutrality, data privacy, the fight against money laundering, security processing and transmission of payment orders, and the reliability of payments between operators.
