The Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Engineer Khalid Al-Faleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Geological Survey, will patronize 12th International Geological Conference of Saudi Society for Geosciences to be organized by Saudi Geological Survey on 18th Jumada I. The topics of the conference include a number of issues to highlight the scientific progress achieved by the Kingdom and discuss a range of researches and studies in the field of surveying and exploration of mineral resources including oil and gas fields as well as studies of earthquakes and volcanoes, methods of mitigating their damage, and reducing geological hazards. The conference including lectures on renewable thermal energy, geotourism and investment opportunities will host a group of local and international specialists and organize a field trip for participants' access to some geological formations.
