Yemen's ambassador to the United States Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak today described the U.S. new strategy towards Iran as a strong message that unveiled Iran's interference in Yemen and its use of the Houthis as toys to destabilize the region. Addressing the annual conference of U.S. decision-making industry, organized by the national council for Arab American relations in Washington, Mubarak said the war was imposed on the legitimate government and that ending it is in the hands of those who staged the coup and usurped the capital Sanaa. He said the initiative taken by the Arab coalition to support the legitimate government has kept Yemen from falling captive in the hands of the ugly coup. Yemen's news agency quoted Mubarak as expressing his country's looking forward to a new round of talks to discuss the ideas carried by the UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh aiming to reach a peaceful settlement and push the peace process forward based on the three references agreed upon.
