Yemeni legitimate and internationally recognized government expressed appreciation and gratitude of the UN Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh for the efforts he exerts to reach a just and lasting solution, in Yemen, that would put an end to the coup d'état and restore the state, in accordance with the main three terms of reference, which are the Gulf states' sponsored Initiative, with its executive mechanism, National Dialogue outputs and the UN relevant resolutions, notably the resolution no. 2216. In a message sent to Ould Cheikh, the government pointed out that the pro-coup militias, still controls a huge revenues of the state, utilizing them to fund their warfare plans, against the Yemeni people or to embezzle it, in order to accumulate their leaders' wealth, at the expense of starving the Yemeni citizenry. Paying salaries of all state civilian employees cannot be made, unless the Houthi militias and the deposed Saleh forces direct state finances towards Aden-based Central Bank and other branches, in the governorates, as the legitimate government used to do, before the coup d'état that has taken place, on Oct. 2016, the government concluded.
