Yemen's foreign minister Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi underscored the importance of stopping the use of Houthi militias of Al-Hodeidah port to smuggle Iranian weapons to occupiers of capital Sanaa. He made the remarks during a meeting with U.S. ambassador to Yemen Mathio Tweller. Al-Mikhlafi said his government is pursuing an endeavor to reach a peaceful solution in Yemen based on the three references. According to the Yemeni news agency, the U.S. diplomat lauded Yemen's government support for the UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Al-Chekh Ahmed and called for continuing cooperation between the Yemeni government and the US administration in the field of terror combat. He also called for stopping Iran's interference in Yemen and the region, reiterating his country's support for the Yemeni government.
