The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) approved $ 750,000 worth of financial aid in September 2017 for implementing social, economic, educational, cultural and health projects in a number of OIC member countries. The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen clarified that this aid is part of the implementation of the decisions of Islamic Solidarity Fund Permanent Council at its 60th and 61st sessions which expresses the need to meet the needs of beneficiaries in Member countries. He pointed out that this aid comes in the context of the organization's interest, to achieve the human development and raise up the level of Muslims abilities in the world.
