The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the terrorist attack that resulted in the killing of four soldiers by gunmen in northern Sinai, Arab Republic of Egypt, yesterday, 09/8/2017. The Secretary General of the Organization, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Egyptian Government, reaffirming the solidarity of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its stand with the Arab Republic of Egypt in facing terrorism and extremism that aim at destabilizing its security and stability. He also affirmed the OIC's support for all the measures taken by Egypt in order to counter the plans of the terrorist groups and organizations in view to preserving security and stability, and assuring the safety of its citizens. The Secretary General reiterated the principled position of the OIC, which condemns all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations.
