Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Jazirah and Al-Sharq newspapers commented on the tour of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the Gulf countries, saying that it confirms the deep rooted and historical relations between these countries and enhances communication and coordination on regional, Arab and Islamic affairs in light of global developments and challenges facing the Gulf region. Al-Youm newspaper commented on the participation of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for the first time in the consultative meeting of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States recently in the Bahraini capital, noting that it indicates Britain's desire to be open to the Arab Gulf states as well as opening broad prospects of the GCC-British cooperation, and it seems that opportunities are available to support various aspects of cooperation between the two parties in many fields, especially the economic trend in light of the GCC joint approach toward the intended Gulf economic bloc. --More
