Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm, Al-Sharq, Al-Riyadh and Al-Jazirah newspapers commented on the tour of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of four states of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), saying that the tour led to further deepening of brotherly ties between the Gulf states within their pioneering unification system. The papers pointed out that remarkable economic blocs in the world push the GCC states to create an economic Gulf bloc and this economic bloc of six Gulf states would make it one of the most important blocs in the world, where it would be the sixth-economic bloc having direct influence on the track of the global economy. The papers noted that various political, security and economic indicators clearly point to the importance of crystallizing the union project called for by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and blessed by the GCC countries, stressing the necessity for the union to confront the dangers and challenges facing the GCC system.
