Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm, Okaz, Al-Riyadh and Al-Sharq newspapers commented on the Summit of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States in Manama today, saying that the GCC summits are the result of GCC joint actions where decisions of strategic dimensions are taken at the summits aiming at consolidating the work of the Gulf system and exerting efforts to further strengthen prosperity, progress, security, stability of the peoples of the region and the continuation of the march of the development to achieve its aspirations. The papers said that Manama summit comes at a very important time to discuss regional, Arab and international files topped by the fight against terrorism and Iranian interventions in the region that have been dealt with firmly by the GCC countries, in addition to the discussion of GCC political, economic, cultural and social joint actions. The papers pointed out that the Gulf tour of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud reflects every sense of brotherhood for the Federation of GCC countries that possess the sixth largest global economy.
