Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Maalami on Monday handed over the chairmanship of the Group of Islamic Cooperation Organization member states at the United Nations to the Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi as the State of Kuwait is chairing the current session of the council of foreign ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization. On this occasion, the Permanent Observer for the OIC to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Ufuq Gokcen and the permanent representatives of the countries of the OIC welcomed Ambassador Al-Otaibi as Chairman of OIC countries' group at the UN. They thanked Ambassador Al-Maalami for his efforts to serve the causes of Muslim countries during his presidency of the OIC countries' group at the UN.
