On behalf of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's permanent reprehensive to the United Nations Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Maalami co-signed with Tuvalu's permanent representative to the United Nations Ones Semati in New York today a protocol to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries. To mark the occasion, the two ambassadors confirmed that the two countries, keen to enhance relations, expand aspects of cooperation between them and bolster international peace and security, have decided to establish diplomatic ties between them according to UN agreement on relations, diplomatic immunity signed in Vienna in 1961. The move also was designed to enhance fruitful cooperation in the political, economic, technical, commercial and cultural exchanges between the two signatory countries.
