U.S. stocks closed lower on Wednesday as investors weighed higher bond yields and oil prices ahead of Friday's important jobs report. The Dow Jones industrial average lost 86.22, or 0.48 percent, to 17,841.98. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index declined 9.31, or 0.45 percent, to 2,080.15. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite dropped 19.68, or 0.40 percent, to 4,919.64. The dollar traded more than 1 percent lower against major world currencies, with the euro topping $1.13 for the first time since the end of February. Light sweet crude oil for June delivery gained 53 cents to $60.93 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while gold futures fell $2.90 to $1,190.30 an ounce.
