The Competition Council announced the application by Dar AlBandar International Trading company (limited liability) for a merger with International Dar Alazya for International Trading Company and Dorat Alwadi Trading Company. The focus of the activity of the companies wishing to merge is wholesale, retail, import and export trade. The most famous brand names of these companies Centrepoint, Splash, Shoe Mart, Lifestyle and Citymax. The number of branches of Dar al-Bandar company 333 branches throughout the Kingdom. In a statement today, the Competition Council said that, based on competition and its executive law, in cases of economic concentration as in the case of a merger, the effects of the merger are assessed based on fair competition and making sure that there are no negative effects by this process outweighing its positive effects.
