AlHijjah 22, 1435, Oct 16, 2014, SPA -- The General Index of cost of living for September 2014 recorded, an increase of 2.8% compared to its percentage of the same period in 2013 due to the increases witnessed by main sections constituting the index. In its monthly report, the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) said that the section of recreation and culture was up by 10.6%; section of household furniture and equipment and their maintenance by 3.8%; education by 3.7%; section of housing, electricity, gas and other fuels by 3.4%; section of health by 3.3% and section of goods and miscellaneous services by 3.1%. The CDSI report further said that the of section of food and beverages recorded an increase of 2.9% followed by the section of restaurants and hotels by 2.5%; section of clothing and footwear by 1.2%, and then the section of Transportation 0.2%. --More 14:38 LOCAL TIME 11:38 GMT تغريد
