Qa'dah 16, 1435, Sep 11, 2014, SPA -- The index of cost of living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the month of August 2014 registered an increase of 2.8 %, compared to its counterpart of previous year, as a result of the rise in the main sections constituting the index of cost of living in its indicators. In its monthly report, the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) said that the section of Recreation and Culture occupied first place in the high index's sections in last August by (10.9%), followed by the section of tobacco by (7.3%), then the section of home furnishing, equipment and maintenance by (4.4%), section of miscellaneous goods and services by (4.3%), section of Education by (3.7 %) and the section of Health by (3.3%). The section of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels registered an increase of (3.1%), followed by the section of food and beverages (2.5 %), the section of restaurants and hotels (2.3 %), then the section of clothing and footwear by (0.8%), section of Transportation (0.3%) and section of Communications (0.2%). --More 12:14 LOCAL TIME 09:14 GMT تغريد
