AlHijjah 21, 1435, Oct 15, 2014, SPA -- The General Index of cost of living of the wholesale prices for September 2014 recorded, a decrease of 0.1% compared to its percentage of the same period in 2013 due to changes witnessed by main sections constituting the index of wholesale prices. In its monthly report, the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) said that the section of other commodities was down 7.2%; section of raw materials rather than fuel 0.7% section of machineries and transporting equipment 0.6%; section of manufactured goods classified according to material 0.4%; section of animal and vegetable oil and fats 0.3% and section of food and live animals 0.1%. The CDSI report further said that the section of miscellaneous manufactured goods raised by 1.2%; section of beverages and tobacco by 0.9% and section of chemicals and related products 0.8%, while section of mineral fuels and related products remained at the level of previous index without any little relative change. The general index of wholesale prices for the month of September 2014 hit (1,591), compared to (1,595) for August 2014, reflecting a decrease in the index for September 2014 by (0.3%) compared to the index's level in August 2014.
