A fire, carried by swift winds, gutted today an oil depot before spreading to destroy seven neighboring others in Al-Faisaliah District, a southern neighborhood of capital Riyadh, officials say. Information spokesman of Riyadh Civil Defense Major Mohammed Al-Hammadi said civil defense squads have done a good job to contain the fire from spreading further. Employees of the oil store present at the time of the incident were kept in custody for investigation, he added. Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, as well as the Director General of Civil Defense Major General Sulaiman Al-Amro were closely keeping eye on the process of extinguishing the fire.
