A fire flared up this evening at a limited area of Riyadh-based King Khalid Specialist Hospital for Eyes but resulted in no injuries or fatalities, officials said. Information spokesman of the Riyadh Civil Defense Major Mohammed Al-Hammadi said the Civil Defense and Red Crescent squads put off the fire which broke out at a limited area estimated at 40 sq meters in the vault of the hospital, gutting packs of fabrics and bed sheets. The operation, which did not require evacuation of the facility, revealed that nobody was injured or dead because of the blaze, he said. He added that an investigation to know the cause of the fire was opened into the incident.
