A Filipino radio commentator was shot dead Friday in the southern Philippines in the latest attack on media in the country, police said. According to dpa, Samuel Oliverio, 57, was on the way home from the market with his wife when two gunmen shot him in Digos City, 995 kilometres south of Manila, said police chief Superintendent Querubin Manalang. Oliverio died instantly while his wife suffered bruises after the motorcycle they were riding on fell over, he said. He said investigators were still determining a motive for the killing.
