The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today commended the report issued by the independent international fact-finding Committee on Syria. Saudi Ambassador to the Geneva-based UN headquarters Faisal bin Hasan Trad extended thanks to the committee's head and team for their strenuous efforts in putting together such an important international document. The ambassador also expressed the Kingdom's concern over the sufferings of the Syrian People, calling upon the international community to take all necessary actions to help alleviate their difficulties. Also, he stressed that the Kingdom's goal is to reach USD 500 million in donations to the Syrian People, citing that Saudi Arabia is an active member of the Donor Conference. Ambassador Trad went on to say that the Kingdom welcomes the results of the Donor Conference as well as the results reached by the Friends of Syria Group.
