AlQa'dah 1, 1433, Sep 17, 2012, SPA -- Saudi Arabia's Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to the United Nations in Geneva Dr. Abdulwahab Attar, stressed during the interactive dialogue with the international mission of inquiry in Syria, which was held today at the Human Rights Council here, that the Kingdom's delegation to the meetings of the Council read with interest the report of the International Mission with all its contents of important information and facts about the heinous crimes and the deteriorating situation of human rights situation in Syria, in addition to the findings of the International Committee which included torture by Syrian security forces of detainees and children, cases of violence against detainees of both sexes, and the attacks on the hospitals and health centers in which civilian patients are treated. Ambassador Attar said in a speech to the Human Rights Council being held in Geneva that Saudi Arabia expressed very clearly that what is happening in Syria cannot be accepted or justified, and strongly condemned acts of violence, murder and heinous crimes committed by the Syrian government and their militias. He added that the Kingdom considered such acts as crimes against humanity, and called for their cessation and the bringing of their perpetrators to justice and it also supported all regional and international efforts to stop all forms of violence and to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Syrian people. --MORE
