Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, paid a visit to India's Vice President Dr. Mohammed Hamid Ansari. Upon arrival at the venue, a photo session was held. Then, the Saudi and Indian sides held a meeting at the outset of which the Indian Vice President welcomed the Saudi Crown Prince, wishing him and the accompanying delegation a good stay in India. For his part, the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed happiness to visit India, noting that the visit comes as a continuation to the current cooperation between the two countries, confirming that the Kingdom is keen to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and India as well as the ways to enhance them in all fields in a way that serves the interests of the two countries were discussed. Following the meeting, a cooperation agreement between the two countries in the military field, including cooperation in the field of training, experience exchanges between military officials was signed in the presence of the Saudi Crown Prince and the Indian Vice President. Dr. Nizar bin Obied Madani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, signed for Saudi Arabia while the Minister of State of India for Defense Affairs Jet Tandara Sein singed for his country. Then, each of the Crown Prince and the Indian Vice President shook hands with the other party's delegation. Then, the Crown Prince graced a dinner party held in his and the accompanying delegation's honor by the Vice President of India. During the dinner party, the Vice President of India delivered a speech, reviewing the bilateral visit exchanges between the Kingdom and India at the highest levels, recalling the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to India and the visit of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both having boosted the relations between the two countries to a distinguished strategic level. He lauded the progress witnessed by the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, lauding the care being enjoyed by Indian expatriates in Saudi Arabia. He underscored the importance of continuing the two countries' joint efforts to fight the world-wide threat posed by extremism and terrorism.
