Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artu Taher Resizada received here today visiting Speaker of Saudi Shoura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh and the accompanying delegation. At the outset of the meeting, the Prime Minister lauded the role played by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and its endeavor for political and economical stability in the world, lauding the Kingdom's initiatives to bring about peace in the region. He pointed to the important role of the Kingdom in the Islamic world and its support for the Islamic fair causes, calling for more cooperation and coordination among Islamic countries. He valued the Kingdom's support for Azerbaijan since its independence, particularly its support during the Nagorno Karabakh's issue. He expressed satisfaction over the level of bilateral exchanges between the two countries, citing the state visit of late President Hayder Aliiv to the Kingdom in 1994. He conveyed the greetings of the president, government and people of Azerbaijan to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, the Second Deputy Premier and the Saudi people, wishing the Kingdom more progress and prosperity. During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed and ways of boosting them were reviewed, particularly in the parliamentary field. On the other hand, Agtoy Asadov, Chairman of the Azeri National Assembly held a dinner party in honor of Dr. Al Al-Sheikh and the accompanying delegation.
