Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held here today a joint press conference with Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry in Jeddah. At the outset of the press conference, Prince Saud Al-Faisal welcomed the Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid and the accompanying delegation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prince Saud lauded the strong relations between the two friendly countries, especially during the visit paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to India in 2006 and signed New Delhi Declaration as well as the visit paid by the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2010. He added that the political will of the two countries stressed necessity to develop relations to the level of strategic partnership and strengthening it in many fields. Prince Saud confirmed that the two countries exchanged visits at the level of ministers, senior officials, businessmen, academics, media men and other levels. "A number of agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed in many fields of joint cooperation in the mutual interests of the peoples and the governments of the two countries," Prince Saud said.
