A memorandum of understanding was signed today in Baku between the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri, ISESCO Director General, and Mr. Elshad Iskandarov, Chairman of the Committee. The MoU provides a framework for cooperation on areas of common interest, especially in relation to supporting the activities of the National Tolerance Centre in Baku, co-organizing conferences, symposia and training sessions to promote interfaith dialogue and tolerance, and sharing research and other relevant works.
