Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliev received today in Baku, Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altuwaijri, the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. During the reception, Altuwaijri conferred on the Azeri President the Shield of ISESCO, the highest distinction awarded by the Organization to the Heads of Member States. On this occasion, the President of Azerbaijan expressed his country's appreciation for ISESCO, lauded the distinguished efforts of the Organization in enhancing dialogue among civilizations and disseminating the culture of justice and peace. ISESCO's Director General also held talks, yesterday in Baku, with ministers of Education; Culture; and Youth, Sports and Tourism. These talks dealt with various aspects of cooperation under the Organization's Three-Year Action Plan.
