The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization -ISESCO- signed today a memorandum of understanding with the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations -WAITRO-. The agreement ISESCO has signed with WAITRO, which is located at Malaysia's Standards and Industrial Research Institute, SIRIM Berhad, provides for joint cooperation in the following fields: combating poverty, environment preservation, water resources and energy management, building technological capacities, and protecting intellectual property rights. To this end, the two parties have agreed on holding relevant training sessions, workshops, symposia and conferences, in addition to preparing researches and studies, exchanging studies, fellowship and scholarship programmes, and publishing research works in scientific and technological fields. The cooperation was signed by Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, on behalf of ISESCO, and Dr Rohani Hashim, acting Secretary-General of WAITRO.
