Prince Sultan Civilizational Center signed here today a contract to implement and administer a global integrated medical city with a cost of SR2 billion. The partnership contract was signed by Mohammed Al-Fadhel, chairman of the board of the directors of the center, and Cathy Easter, Chief Executive of the Methodist International (MI), an affiliate of the Methodist Hospital. The agreement aims to provide services of development and operation of the new medical city as well as an integrated series of care units within the framework of the center. In a press statement, Al-Fadhel said that the medical city will serve about five million persons in Makkah region. He pointed out the complex also included a number of housing units, commercial centers, exhibitions, hotels, specialized medical university, sports center, international center for conferences and exhibitions and a number of public utilities.
