JEDDAH – Work on the SR6 billion Prince Sultan Cultural Project will begin in the last quarter of this year. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah region, chaired here Monday a meeting to discuss the project and watched a presentation by its board of directors. Spread on area of two million square meters on Madinah Road north of Jeddah near the bridge leading to Obhur, the project will have the Prince Sultan Center for Culture and Arts that will attract talented and creative people and will organize literary and cultural evenings as well as exhibitions and events. The project will also have a 920-bed integrated medical complex with a specialist hospital for heart diseases, neurology, internal medicine and surgery, among others. The medical complex will also have centers to treat eye and chronic diseases as well as physiotherapy and rehabilitation hospitals, dialysis center, maternity and pediatric hospital, centers for doctors' offices and outpatient clinics. It will also have a university for teaching health and medical specialization, an international school, a grand mosque, a sports center, a housing complex comprising villas and residential apartments, several hotels, markets and shops.
