Pakistan: 24 People Die in Bahawalpur Road Accident

AlHijjah 14, 1433, Oct 30, 2012, SPA - Twenty-four passengers were killed and several others wounded when a van collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction in Bahawalpur Tuesday, Geo News reported.
According to rescue sources, the passenger van was on its way to Ahmedpur Sharqia from Bahawalpur when it had a head-on collision with a truck. As a result of the accident, 24 passengers including seven women, one girl and two children were killed while several others sustained injuries. Many of the injured passengers are said to be in critical condition.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital while rescue efforts were underway.
