At least 12 people were killed and 25 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and truck in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Sunday, a report said. The accident took place at around 7:15 a.m. (0215 GMT) near Bahawalpur district, some 380 kilometers south of Islamabad, when the truck driver rammed into the bus returning from Karachi while overtaking another vehicle, according to a report from GEO, a private Pakistani television channel. Three of the injured were said to be in critical condition.
