An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 point occurred in the eastern Pamirs near the Tajik-Chinese border on Thursday morning, Itar-Tass learnt at the Geophysical Service of the National Academy of Sciences. The epicenter of the earthquake was situated 435 kilometers to the south-east of Dushanbe and about 290 kilometers from the village of Murgab adjacent to the border with China at a depth of 130 kilometers. As seismologists specified, the earthquake was not felt in the central part of Tajikistan, including Dushanbe. There is no information on destructions.
