Kamchatsky, Dhu-AlHijjah 14, 1432, Nov 10, 2011, SPA -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 occurred off the eastern coast of Kamchatka in the Pacific Ocean. There are no victims or destructions. The tsunami warning wasn't issued. An underground tremor was registered on Thursday at 10.00 local time (02.00 Moscow time), Itar-Tass learnt at the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The epicentre of the earthquake was situated at a depth of 50 kilometres under the sea bottom. Jolts measuring 3-4 points were felt in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In the evening on November 9, at 21.11 Kamchatka time, residents of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky also felt jolts measuring 2-3 points. According to seismologists, they occurred as a result of an earthquake in Avacha Bay 50 kilometres from the Kamchatka territorial centre at a depth of 94 kilometres under the sea bottom. This earthquake also had no effects.
